This project began with a turn-of-the-century barbershop, that was subsequently divided into two single family residences. Limited by strict historic guidelines, we successfully expanded the upper level, to ultimately create a flowing, open, home with 3 master suites.

This marvelous project began with acquisition, and an Owner who was bought-in to the process and the vision. Gut down to the studs, and re-built, savoring the materiality as we went, and augmenting the new with salvaged materials where possible.

This Capitol Hill HQ / Lobbying Office resides in an historic townhouse, and was re-done for corporate lobbying and fundraising. Consistent with our approach to the built environment, we revealed the beauty of the existing wood and masonry, coupling it with 21st century high tech conferencing capabilities. The conference table was locally sourced and finished, to pair with the building, and accommodate the teleconferencing equipment.
